Littorina research team

How do populations adapt to their environment?

How do new species emerge?
Which genetic changes drive these processes?

We are an international team of researchers located in multiple European countries. Our common goal is to improve our understanding of the evolution of biodiversity, addressing the above questions. We use marine snails of the genus Littorina as model systems. We conduct field work on rocky shores, analyse various traits of the snails in the lab, perform analyses of large DNA data sets, and develop theoretical models.
